Klezmer-Hois (the House of the Klezmer) is situated in the heart of Krakow’s Kazimierz (the former Jewish district), 70 meters from the Remuh Synagogue, in the 16th century building that until the World War II housed the ritual bathhouse, one the oldest in the city.

Klezmer-Hois is a unique place that thanks to the décor, artistic atmosphere as well as culinary delicacies evokes the ambience of the pre-war tradition of Jewish Kazimierz.

Concerts of traditional Jewish music are held here every night. In Klezmer Hois one can meet artists, musicians, actors, directors, painters and poets from all over the world. Andrzej Wajda, Roman Polański, Steven Spielberg, Ben Kingslay, Ralph Finnes, Prince Charles, Ryszard Kapuściński, Czesław Miłosz were among our guests.

Our artistic director Leopold Kozłowski together with a famous Polish lyricist and poet Jacek Cygan created a musical performance entitled “Raisins and Almonds” which draws on the magnificent tradition of the Jewish Theatre.

Klezmer-Hois is also a Jewish style restaurant in which one can find dishes of the traditional Galician Jewish cuisine.
